Sam Eells

Sam Eells is the Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer at Lightship, the virtual-first clinical trial provider creating access for all patients. She is a vision-driven executive with a background in epidemiology and over 10 years of experience conducting high-quality clinical research within start-up and academic environments, including the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute and UCLA.

Throughout her career, Sam worked with non-insured patients to prevent infections in their communities and to give them better protection. At Lightship, Sam is scaling these efforts by providing access to clinical trials and treatment to underserved populations, especially those that find access to public health difficult. 

Focused on the best patient experience, and dedicated to operational excellence built on performance and integrity, Sam works to transform how patients access and take part in clinical studies.
