David Hancock

David Hancock joined SAS in 2018 as an Advisory Industry Consultant.  In this role, he assists government health agencies maximize their data assets to improve performance.  He has over twenty-three (23) years of experience working with Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and public health agencies.  Prior to joining SAS, Mr. Hancock led the State Health Solutions practice for Telligen. Mr. Hancock oversaw state contracts delivering Utilization Management, Prior Authorization, Retrospective Clinical Reviews, Care Coordination, I/DD assessments, and Quality Improvement.  He has extensive claims processing, program integrity, coordination of benefits, and audit experience gained through work with Public Consulting and Health Management Systems (HMS).  Following graduation from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts, David worked in policy on Capitol Hill.  He received his Master’s in Public & Internal Relations (MPIA) as well as Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh.
